Issue with Text-to-Speech in MAGIX Hub Version deluxe 2024 Plus

Hello everyone!

Software: MAGIX Hub, Version Video Deluxe 2024 Plus Operating System: Windows 11

I encountered an odd issue with the Text-to-Speech function in MAGIX Hub today. It always worked flawlessly before, but suddenly today, not so much. I've tried resetting the browser settings for MAGIX Hub and have gone through other standard troubleshooting steps, but nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else bumped into this issue or has a solution?

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

I've just tested this facility on my installation of MMS 2024 and it worked without problem. So, can you be rather more explicit and say exactly what is going wrong for you, please? Please say what language you are wanting to use, the type of voice you have selected and the Speech style chosen.

With this additional information we may be able to reproduce what you are experiencing.

Thanks for getting back to me.

To provide more specifics:

Language: I've been using German for the Text-to-Speech function.

Voice Type: I've consistently chosen the "Katja" voice for my videos.

Speech Style: For the "Katja" voice, there aren't specific speech styles available, so I've just been using the default settings.

The primary issue I'm running into is that when I attempt to use the "generate speech" function, it doesn't work at all now, regardless of the text I input. It was working wonderfully earlier, but now it simply won't generate any speech for the "Katja" voice.

I truly hope this clarifies things a bit more. Any assistance or insights you can provide would be immensely appreciated.

@Ellielina You might try to restart your computer. Please select the Restart option and not the Shut down option. This might already help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've actually already tried restarting my computer using the "Restart" option earlier, but the issue still remains. I appreciate your input and if you or anyone else has other ideas, I'm all ears.

Just an update on my situation: I've tried a fresh reinstallation of the software, hoping that it would resolve the Text-to-Speech issue I mentioned earlier. Unfortunately, the problem persists. Specifically, I'm still unable to use the "Katja" voice for generating speech, even after the reinstall.

If anyone has any further suggestions or has encountered a similar issue, I'd greatly appreciate your insights.

Thanks for the additional information.

I have just tested this, changing the language in my installation to German and selecting the "Katja" voice. Writing "Guten Tag" as a simple text, pressing "Generate Speech" and the words are immediately heard and can be inserted to the Timeline!

Have you tried this using any of the other German voices? If so, and you still cannot achieve what you want (I tried this using Amala voice, again without problem) I think this is a problem perhaps unique to your system.

Perhaps you need to create a Support ticket. Start with the Support header in any forum page, always choosing the option to "Ask Support".

I recently reinstalled Windows, but the issue with the Text-to-Speech feature in MAGIX remains unresolved. I've already opened a ticket about this but haven't received a satisfactory solution yet. Should I open another ticket, or are there other steps I can take to resolve the issue? I've followed the troubleshooting steps, but the issue persists. One key detail to note is that the notification window, which I am supposed to click 'Allow' on to solve the connection problem, does not appear at all. Therefore, I can't proceed with the given solution.
