The one in the ebay link, sorry! That one is not supported by MAGIX, so I do not recommend you buy it. You already have exactly the same software by free. There are no changes neither upgrade access to other 'full' versions from the Silver version. That sale seems illegitimate to me, since there is no support for it (the sale) on the official MAGIX websites.
Even the official / legitimate free version doesn't allow you to a upgrade to a Pro with few limitations.
Given that you didn't indicate anything about the free version, it would seem to me that the difference between the free version and the one on ebay is 9.99$. So far as I know, there is no upgrade path to Samplitude Pro X3 from Silver, but you can always ask Magix to give you a special price.
An unscrupulous somebody is selling the old and free Samplitude Pro X silver, which can still be downloaded and registered. They're basically selling you free software that you can download and register by yourself.
If you want to buy one off ebay, buy the actual retail Samplitude Pro X, which comes as a physical copy. Keep in mind that it is not the suite version, and has only the core Samp X program, and Independence Sampler.
But you can buy the most updated X3 suite directly from Magix, I think, for 149.99 or 199.99$$. You get a huge amount of content with that purchase.
Thanks. Someone who posts the link for the free version on his website also confirmed for me that it likely was just the same thing I already had for 10 bucks ;) I reported the listing to ebay [-}
Probably not! He indicates that "We don't sell serials, please check other sellers for that." What that means, I have no clue, but you need a serial number (activation code) to get the program to work, unless they are selling a cracked version or something. The download of the main program, trial version, is available on the Magix site, but you need to activate it to get access to the remainder of the material. The difference between trial and full is activation. This looks very suspicious to me, coming from Russia?
I got a legit version of Windows 10 for only $13 off ebay... and Windows honored the upgrade so it's clearly not a boot. I figured there must be good deals on DAWs somewhere :/
