Is there anyone experiencing issues with Windows 10 and Video Deluxe after Windows 10 anniversary update ?

Hello,

I would like to know if I am the only one that is having truoubles with MAGIX Video Deluxe 2015 Premium with Windows 10, after the Win10 Anniversary update.

I had used VDLX a couple of times in the past months without any problems. Then the update arrived, and VDLX licence sistem stopped to work , MAGIX support had to add another slot, and now it works. But I immediately realized that was not the only issue: closeing the application or doing a File/Close of the project cause VDLX to hang-up and freeze, and only CTR-ALT-DEL and Task Manager could kill the application.

Ugly

- Am I the only one with this issues ?

- Does anyone have the Win10 Anniversary update installed ?

This seems a VDLX only issue since XARA Design and all the other applications on the PC are working.

Best Regards

Roberto

Hi

You are not alone.

The Anniversary update looks as though it has changed, among other things, some security settings which means the software will only work if you run it as Administrator after the Anniversary update.

It has affected all the MEP versions I have installed on my PC, however it did also affect Microsoft Outlook as well, on my laptop it only affected Music Maker Premium so there is no consistency on what will be affected.

I have re-installed using my own tutorial here and the programs are now working properly.
