Is there a way to turn off automatic vocal monitoring?

I know it's an odd request, but, MMM automatically plays vocals sent through a mic back to you through the headphones. The problem is, with this comes latency. One of my microphones works with barely any latency using this method; one does not. It runs through an audio interface, which I am assuming is the culprit. Even with all settings on both ends pushed to the limit vis a vis latency avoidance, it's still an untenable amount; no monitoring would be preferable to the amount of latency it produces. However, resolving this problem is a moot point; my audio interface itself has monitoring built into it which has no delay whatsoever. However, I cannot find a way to turn off the monitoring functionality in MMM. Is there one, or am I stuck with this?

Hi

. . . . It runs through an audio interface, which I am assuming is the culprit . . . .

I assume the other mic is a USB mic is this correct?

What is our audio device and does it support ASIO?

In the Program settings, Audio/MIDI tab are they set as shown below

Also in the dialog click the Advanced button and check you sound card is selected as shown below - if you have the Realtek you can adjust its latency as shown top left in the image.

From the manual:

To disable this unwanted "monitoring", click on "Peak control" in the "Audio recording" dialog box, double-click on the input used (identifiable on the peak meter amplitude), and change the tab "monitor" in the subsequent settings dialog. There you can deactivate the option "Use this device as playback source".

However this does not match up with the dialogs I get!
