Is there a universal stop-watch timer?

Lindiana-Donesley wrote on 4/1/2019, 11:01 PM

Movie Edit Pro Plus has so many different timers, but I've noticed it has none that you can change the font of nor edit to make it start during a certain point in the timeline.

If I want to make a scene where somebody is racing or people are solving a puzzle and it requires a stop-watch like effect, is there any way to do this by editing those presets or creating my own within the program without having to use another program or "flatten"/save that segment just to import once more with the movie timer?

I really hope there is a way to do this (and am kinda surprised that there isn't / it's not obvious!) did you find out how to do this from anywhere else @Lindiana-Donesley? I want to use it for exactly the example you used - as a stopwatch for solving a Rubik's cube, however I don't start solving it until 6 or 7 seconds in, and I just want the stopwatch to start then - seems like quite a simple function??

Hi David.

You could have added this to your other request rather than resurrecting an old one.

It has to be done manually. The program has no idea what is going on in the video. I have given you a solution in your other thread. There are other third party programs that offer different styles including stop watches but again have to be programmed to start and stop, but how flexible they are I couldn't say as I have not tried those options and the programs I've seen have them as a small part of a much larger and quite expensive graphics package.

Ray.
