Is there a slide show number limitation to the Travel compact template? Is there a way to extend this if there is?

I am trying to create a slide show using the travel compact template but it appears to limit the number of slides. Am i doing something wrong? I have all the photos on one channel, but it seems to be cutting it down to 8-10 slides.  Thanks.

Hi

Movie teplates are limited in functionality and how many images/videos they can handle.

Depending on the version of MEP you have - please state this and other relevant information when posting - see this post.

There is a work around as follows:

Movie Edit Pro MX through to 2014 click the icon shown below to switch into timeline mode, you can then manually add more images, video, audio and effects.

Movie Edit Pro  2015 onwards the above icon is missing so you cannot switch to timeline mode, however there is a work around as described by maxcon62 here - third answer from top.

@John EB,

MEP 2016 Plus/Premium was changed to allow moving the template to the timeline. There is a checkmark in the upper right corner of the Project window. A warning message appears that you can't go back if you accept.

Hi

@ John CB

Thanks John - the check mark is also there in MEP 2017.

Using it before you have completed filling in the template makes it difficult to complete the project by adding images, video etc, to the placeholders once in timeline mode - the auto apply of the placeholder image effects etc does not  take place unless you change the mouse mode to Exchange (keyboard shortcut:  4).

@ stevewalker.lbc

An alternative to using the movie templates is to use the Slideshow Maker (Ctrl+ m) which will work with any number of clips and gives you some control over transitions, effects, audio etc.
