I figured out the pan smoothing, but everything else in the dialog box is HUH. 

The PDF Hel file refers to V. 2.  It says "Note: For this effect to work correctly, the correct field setting for the video must be used."  I can't find this in the Mercalli window.

And what is proDad CMOS Fixr for/do?

I have video objects with combinations of horizontal pan shakes, up/down movements, and non-pan jitters.  I guess I have to cut the object and apply different selections to each.  Right?  And I'm guessing there's no cure when my hands make the cam go in a vertical circle.

I downloaded two versions of the manual from ProDad.  One is 79 pages, the other is 72 pages.  I want just the basics.

Ohl.... I'm still using mostly a Standard Def. cam at 4x3.  I also have a new still cam with HD video at 16x9.  I got a few videos with it, but It's not comfortable for my hands.  I already managed to delete a video when I hit Off because it's so close to the Record/Stop button.  I hope that Mercalli works the same with SD 4x3.  There's no matching cam on their list.

Any comments are appreciated; I really don't want to read 70 pages.
