Is There A Pause Feature In Movie Edit Pro Premium?

I have the most recent Movie Edit Pro Premium. Is there a way to stop or pause playback so that the playback marker stops exactly where I need it to stop, without it going all the way back to the start or back to where the marker was set?  I'm cutting dialogue and it would be soooo much easier if the marker would stop when I press space or stop and not return to a previous position.  I also have Magic Music Studio and I can stop the playback marker by pressing the play button to pause - the space bar and the stop button send the marker back to the start.  With Movie Edit Pro Premium, the play button becomes a stop button and that doesn't do it.  Am I missing something?  As I said, I'm cutting dialogue. A pause feature would be so awesome. I'm assuming there isn't one.

@JBA

There is no "pause" function as such, but check the highlighted setting in the following screenshot:

Make sure the option is ticked. The "effect" of this setting is that Playback pauses, and the cursor remains, at the point where you press the Spacebar.

Hi JBA.

Make sure the following is ticked in Settings / Program / Playback and use the space bar to start and stop the playback.
