Is Movie edit pro 16 plus as big a pile of crap as I think it is?

Been working with this thing for two weeks now with little change or hope of ever being able to edit anything.
Have a brand new Canon Vxia HF R 10 hd camera. Four month old Toshiba computer, AMD Turlon dual core 64 running at 2 GHz with 4 gig of ram.
Even at the lowest resolution that the camera will produce, once transfered to Magix all I can get is choppy video with no sound and video sync. Tried chroma key and when the third track is added, everything comes to a halt.
Tried everything with no improvement.
Was Sony a better choice?
Anybody have any suggestions.

Magix Movie Edit Pro 16 Plus is not garbage. I think the problem of the choppy video is that your laptop is slow due to probabkly there is garbage running on the laptop. Try cleaning it because a lot of garbage and be stuck in your latop in 4 mounths.

I have the same problem.

2 months old laptop, 4 GB RAM, quad-core processor 1,8 GHZ.

I have tried to put all the playback properties on minimum, but still I can not play the video withour chopping, so there is no way I can edit anything.

Could someone give any valuble answer, I would be really glad.

My only problem is audio sync when loading  mpg file.

I have all the other video programmes and this is the best

with many useful tools - colour, size among the video and

an excellent audio mixer which is trackable. now looking for an

upgrade.
