Hello,

With reference to the subject captioned; please be noted that I have been experiencing issue regarding midi recording. When i record a new clip on a same track, the previously recorded clip gets overwritten with the one being recorded. What's the permanent solution to this problem? I am using Focusrite 2i2 Audio Interface and having Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit O/S installed on my system. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks & Regards!

Karam

Hi Karam,

The beginning of the yellow bar at the top has to be where or just before where you start recording. So move the start to be after your previous recording.

And, you should watch my tutorial on getting started in MMM.

Hello,

Yes, there is absolutely no issue with recording the midi clip. Actually I want the new midi data on the same clip after recording so that the previous clip does not remove when the new clip is recorded. How can I preserve the previously recorded clip since the new midi data replaces the previous one?

Looking forward!

Hi Karam,

If you want to record the same instrument overtop of an existing clip and keep the existing piece, then open the midi editor and turn on Overdub at the bottom of the screen. Record using the midi screen. Anything that you play will be added in.
