Hi,
on Magix Movie Studio 2023 Suite, which have recently installed under win 10, I must be doing something wrong or something else is happening. .I try to use an animation from Intro/ Outro animations section,but appears on the preview monitor as a blinking green outcome,instead of the actual effect. Also if I try to export this, same thing is happening . . .
Any help please?
Hi and welcome to the user to user forums.
While intros and outros can be viewed using the appropriate play button in the preview mode, once on the timeline must be associated /placed within a video clip. If you want it on its own you must also place a jpeg (presumably black if you want to see the intro as is.) of appropriate length into the timeline.

I have tried to associate one intro effect with mp4 (animation I have created with MAGIX Travel Maps), but didn't work also. .
But also if I try to export this to mp4 format I get the same result on mp4 exported file. .
Is there a time limit for the jpeg file or mp4 file in order to make this work?
Any recommendations?
Hi.
Ideally you want the clip / image to be longer than the effect itself as it will attach itself to the beginning or end of the chosen clip (depending on whether you choose an intro or outro.) Each behaves slightly differently and why there is a preview play button to see how it will behave before deciding to apply it. Apply using the download button and do not drag the effect onto the timeline.
Just select the clip on the timeline you wish to apply it to first.

Your green image looks like a graphics problem, so can you click your icon at the top of this page - My Profile & fill in your Signature with the full name of your CPU, GPU & amount of RAM, also inc the Windows & Magix version, this will then show at the bottom of your comments,
Check your graphics drivers are up to date,

@Former user I agree, because when I try to playback a simple mp4 file, does the same think (no playback under Movie Studio 2023 Suite).
What can possibly be the problem?
I have already order a new gpu RX 550 4GB GDDR5. This will help to solute this problem?
@Demys-frank Ok. good luck with that, you could try changing these options in Settings to CPU, see if that makes any difference, 🤷♂️

As you didn't mention any problems with exporting in general I didn't consider it a graphics problem.
Now I see you have a graphics card without support for new drivers which means it can't interact with MMS 2023 fully, so Gid is correct.
Make sure when you buy another old graphics card that it can still receive up-to-date graphics drivers or you may be no better off.

Hi Gid.
It is an odd behaviour when using my screen recorder. If I don't first click on the clip in use while screen recording the playback marker on the timeline doesn't move. The one in the preview monitor still does.

I have tried to update video codecs to K-Lite Codec Pack Standard 17.5.5 for win 10 64x. .
The installation of this pack has found some errors on Codecs to registry, and fixed.
After reboot and restart program (Movie Studio 2023 Suite) didn't fix the problem. .
I've tried to change these options in Settings to CPU as you recommend, and find out that under Video output activated device:, there is no device to activate. . .I wonder if this is the reason somehow for the problem. . .

I have just been looking at your processor specs and it will not fully support the RX 550 as the card is PCI-express 3 and your CPU only supports PCI-expess 2. You may be no better off or not much better off.

@Demys-frank I've got a lot of software & can play most media, if I can't it's normally the program not the codecs, so I haven't bothered with the K-Lite Codec Pack, I don't know much about it but what i have heard is that it is the cause of some problems, more trouble than it's worth. & looking at your first photo you're using a png, you won't need any extra codecs to use that or any other reg media, HEVC is the one that some software programs sometimes struggle with but Microsoft provide that codec,

Although you can select your GT 710 in the Import, Processing, and Export selection boxes, MMS 2023 cannot use it as the driver support for that card has lapsed (2021) and can no longer handle the changes that have been made to Direct X 12.1. You should have the option in those boxes to change them to use the CPU.

These are known to cause issues with the Magix installed codecs - I would strongly advise you to uninstalled the Codec pack.
In the image you have posted do not activate the video output - this is for video output to an external device eg a 2nd or 3rd monitor or connected TV to be used as a display with not transport controls, as you have no extra monitor or TV connected to the computer the entry you have indicated is empty.

This should improve matters as it supports DirectX 12 which is required. In the mean time in the program settings Device options tab set the Import, Processing and Export options to CPU. This should then enable you to continue working until the new GPU card arrives.
