interface is missing most parts

I installed ACL 2016 on win7 64bit laptop 2ghz with 4mb ram & ssd hard drive with plenty of space. Nothing else running.

All I see is the rectangular box which holds the sound wave representation, and the menu bar. As a result I can't do anything much.

For a short time, though I don't know when, I did see the whole interface, but then it didn't seem to be active, and then it went again.

I have uninstalled an reinstalled to no avail.

I have gone to registry afer unintall and tried to delete everything, then reinstalled - to no avail.

Magix have not yet said anything helpful.

Any ideas?

Try going under Help, Restore original program settings.

Thanks for the suggestions - but still no joy.

Magix sent me a diagnostic tool, but this crashed when I tried to send the email. They then told me to save the results and email them separately. Unfortunatly, when I pressed "Save" the file seemed to disappear - it may have saved it to their end of course. Who knows - the test wouldn't work again. I am still in the process ot trying tease this one out with them.
