You use instruments for making your own unless you cheat by buying a MIDI files pack from somewhere.

Music Maker is free and there is only one version. Download and install it. Learn how to use it. Watch the tutorials on Magix.com.

If you buy Premium or Plus, these are editions, not versions of the program. They give you more presets, features, Soundpools and instruments. See the comparison table on Magix.com to better understand.
