Installing Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum HD 11 onto a new laptop

I'm attempting to re-install Sony vegas movie studio platinum hd 11 onto my new laptop. I have a box version which contains a cd/dvd to install the program. However, my new laptop does not have a CD drive. I resorted to installing the program using the serial number but the magix support centre was not successful.

I eventually found a way to download the software (https://www.magix.com/gb/support/my-service-center/product-downloads/). However, when the download is 'finished', I get an error message saying the 'download was corrupt'.

Any ideas/solutions to fix this?
