Installation of Music Maker 2022 Premium over Music Maker 64

John-Skulavik wrote on 11/27/2021, 9:45 PM

I have downloaded Music Maker Premium 2022 from the email receipt of my purchase with its serial number. I try to install the Premium version over the 64 bit version on my computer. It uninstalls the 64 bit version but then turns around and reintalls the 64 bit version and never asks for my Premium serial number. Very frustrating as I was planning to get some things done this weekend. I have tried many uninstalls with unistallers and Windows the uninstaller with the same results. I own Photostory 2022 Deluxe and Movie Edit Pro 2022 and have had no such problem with these apps. What gives?

Music Maker 2022 is the 64 bit version - that's just the way it shows itself on the desktop.

The installation is always the free version. Once installed you put in your serial number within the program and then you download the features associated with the Premium Edition.

Where it says to enter password... I click and no response... I clicked many times... dead as a doornail!

@John-Skulavik Please try the following:

go into the program settings and click on the button to clean up the store. This will delete the cache and usually helps if you have problems to log into your user account.

After that log in and enter your serial number in the welcome screen our via the Help menu.

Not very straight forward but I finally hacked my way through the maze of **.

@John-Skulavik Does this mean it's working now?

I think so... still says Music Maker 64 bit though. I like the "about" to indicate the actual version.

But for the money I guess I don't really give a ***.

@John-Skulavik

Hi,

What version do you see on the startup screen in the lower right area under Updates? It should say version 30.0.3.39, the same as under About.

The startup screen should look like the image below.

The top left of the main screen will always indicate Music Maker (64 bit) - that is not the version.
