Installation of a patch

When I start Music Maker Premium it says there is a patch to download and after doing so, while Music Maker is running, attempts to install it but keeps saying there is another app that is open that needs to be closed to continue. Where are patches loaded to download so they can be installed without Music Maker running during the process? ver. 30.0.4.44 Windows 10 Lenovo Ideapad 15IBD

Hi and welcome to the forum.

After stating the update Music Maker should automatically be closed, if it does not close Music Maker manually.

If Music Maker does close and the update will not continue:

Close the update dialog and carry out a full restart of the computer using Windows start button, Power option, Restart
Start Music Maker, create a new project - do not add anything to the timeline, and try the update again.
