Install activation fail

Problem: cannot activate/register SOUND FORGE Audio Studio 12.6 PC:

Purchased MusicMaker Premium v29 from Magix in the Free MusicMaker App on 4/21/2021

Upgrade: Music Maker 2021 Premium Edition v29 order number is (removed).

I used Serial number (removed) to successfully activate MusicMaker Premium v29.

I used the same (removed) Serial number to activate Sound Forge Studio 12.6 PC, but this failed with Error code -14.

Problem 2: no wizardFX Suite activation

After installing wizardfxsuite.exe, there was no wizardFX activation.

Running MusicMaker Premium v29 did not request activation of wizardFX Suite.

The wizardFX Suite Serial number sent with my purchase is (removed)

Note: I successfully installed and activated Magix Movie Edit Pro Premium (v20) and Xara Designer Pro X (v18) and MusicMaker Premium (v29) on my HP Envy laptop 17-ce1xxx, running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) Version 20H2 Build 19042.928.

Note 2: Because the install of MusicMaker Premium v29 did not install a new/separate MusicMaker.exe, I cannot run the previous version of MusicMaker (Free) to compare with the current MusicMaker Premium v29, in order to determine what content was added with the Premium purchase.

Problem 1: Sound Forge has it's own serial number. Please check your e-mails in case you got a mail with your serial number for activation.

Problem 2: Is the FX suite working?

You can just log out of your user account inside Music Maker and then you can only use the features of the free version for comparison.

See this comment, the Wizard FX issue may be a follow on if it is a 64 bit version of the VST.

Problem 1 resolved; thank-you SP. By way of explanation, I overlooked one of the Magix emails with this key.

Problem 2 wizardFXSuite is not working. I am new to MusicMaker and my inexperience is evident here.

I have not located a dialog or place to enter the wizardFX Serial number sent to me in Magix email. When I run MusicMaker I can observe under 'Templates' (at the bottom 1/3 of screen) a side-tab named AudioEffects and Vintage Effect Suite and they contain 50 effects each. I just don't find all the items listed on the planetproducer com of 'wizard-fx-20003'. Since I have not successfully entered the P3 Serial number, I just don't think it is activated.

If I attempt to re-install wizardFXSuite, the dialog only offers 'Modify'; so I exit that. I also checked the Windows 'Start' tab for any mention of wizardFX and I don't see any way to launch. It must be a plug-in list in MusicMaker, but I'm not understanding how it might have added to MusicMaker without entering the P3 Serial number from Magix.

Perhaps I'm looking straight at it and don't realize it is wizardFX. The version is v29.6.0.38 in HelpAbout.

Thanks for the log-out tip to check diffs for free-to-Premium versions.

@Larry-Burkholder Please click on the yellow FX button in the track header and then select the FX Rack option. The FX rack of the track opens. At the bottom left you will find a + button. Click on it to open a list of selectable effects. Is the Wizard FX suite listed there?

Hello SP & John,

This is in no way a complaint, but it is somewhat dizzying to get to the FX button, FX Rack, Magix Plugins, pick-one, popActivateDialog, select Enter Serial, Enter Serial & email address: it activates the wizardFX plugins!

By simply following your instructions the problem has been resolved.
