I already did it. Both are not helpful because installer always stops and installation is never finished. They are talking about purchased version, mine is Free.
@Ernest-Sienkiewicz Purchased and free version are identical. You can convert your free version just by entering a valid serial number.
If the installer doesn't finish on your computer, there is the possibility of some Windows security settings blocking it.
Or your Windows user account has a non-standard character in its name. We encountered this solution in the past where the installation couldn't be finished because of the Windows user name. It worked after creating a second user account with only basic characters. The installation ran fine with the new user account and after that Independence also worked in the primary user account.
No, nothing special like "ąężźćńół" in my username. 😁
Installer does not finish because it stops exactly in the moment when he cannot find ReglndBunde.exe. Right after I close this pop up window installator starts to roll back installation. So it will not done until ReglndBunde.exe will be found.
@Ernest-Sienkiewicz Just to clarify, you have two installers. One for the Independence sampler and one for the free library. Of course you need to run the Independence sampler installer first.
@Ernest-Sienkiewicz For me everything works fine. Sorry we can't help you. I really think that the problem is caused by your Windows security settings, user account settings or some antivirus/firewall settings. You might want to open a support ticket for technical support by clicking on the "SUPPORT" link at top of this page. Then select your product and click on the link to contact support. Since Independence isn't listed as a separate product I would suggest you select one of the music softwares like Music Maker or Samplitude (Music Studio).
@Ernest-Sienkiewicz The current version Pro X7 or the version 7 from 2002/2003?
If you have Pro X7 you should be able to download and install Independence from the Help menu. Pro X7 will also come with the Independence library. The size depends on your version (suite or non-suite).
In my experience it isn't possible to install the Independence version included with Samplitude and the stand alone version of Independence on the same system at the same time.
Thank You for help! The problem is that all instruments included with Samplitude Pro X7 were successfully installed but Independence wasn't. I don't know why , I didn't even know that it is included. ;) Now I have full 70gb version but there is another problem: when I try to use free 2gb library version with another daw, Independence says that it could not find files in Independence Free Content image files (installed!). I saw all threads about this problem on this forum and nothing works... Is it possible to use free version?
@Ernest-Sienkiewicz You have now installed the Samplitude version of Independence? And it works inside Samplitude, correct?
If I remember it correctly there were always problems by using Samplitude's Independence (version 3.6) with other DAWs because it might not be able to start the unlock process of the sample library. It might only checks if it runs inside Samplitude and then load the libraries.
The standalone version (3.5) worked fine for me in other DAWs.
