Independence Content Library

Mr.C wrote on 1/11/2015, 7:25 AM

I have the Independence Content Library I got with Samplitude Music Sudio 2013 and want to load it to my 2014 program.

Completely lost.

I have searched and searched and found a couple of things but they say to select Indepdence from help and install etc......

Independence is not listed.

Anyone help please?

Hi Neil,

See this thread and read through the others and their links. Thomas and I achieved the same result but by different routes. His is better.

Hi Neil,

See this thread

Thanks John.

Hmmm.  Sorry but this is right over the top of my head.

I unistalled the 2013 product when I installed the 2014 version.  Should I have left it installed?

I remember that when I did the 2013 version all I had to do was Select Independence from the Help Menu and the Add to VST Library or something like that elesewhere.  In the 2014 version Independence does not show up anywhere.

Feel a bit like Homer Simpson at the moment.  Doh.

Hi Neil,

Check to see if you also deleted the following folder

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Samplitude Music Studio 2013\Synth\Independence

If you didn't, then Independence will still be there and you can copy it elsewhere. That is where it went by default, I believe.

If you deleted this folder and Independence is nowhere else, then you will have to find it or download it again. If I recall correctly, it was a separate download.

Hi Neil,

Make a folder as follows:

C:\ProgramData\MAGIX\Samplitude Music Studio 2014\Synth\Independence

and copy everything there. That is what I did.

I did not try the .bat file or the .exe files. I think the exe file is for the standalone.

This is not how Thomas did it, but it works. SMS should detect Independence the next time you start it.
