Although new to this software, I have successfully imported and edited video of the same event from DVDs given to me by two people and added text, music etc. Great software! However, importing from a third person's DVD only brings in 12 seconds of each scene. The DVD itself plays ok in my PC and the file sizes are big and healthy. What am I not doing?
