Importing VOB file: Why are there playback skips and out-of-syncs?

I have a VOB movie file on my hard drive that I'm trying to Import into Movie Edit Pro 12. The playback skips ahead several times and the audio is out-of sync with the video. Any suggestions?

Try the following: After importing the VOB file into the program, right-click on the video track in timeline mode and use the "Re(Create) frame table" option. Also, go to the "Playback" tab in the program settings and set the video playback caching to "No cache". See how this improves realtime playback performance in the preview monitor. You will also find some more options in the program settings (e.g. reduced resolution) to make the realtime preview less taxing on your computer and therefore smoother.
