Importing older soundpools without keeping CD in drive?

I own both MMM 2016 and 2013 (just found the disk again!)

I just want the loops from 2013 to be available in 2016version WITHOUT having the 2013 version disk in my CD drive.

I've tried doing just a direct copy/paste to a folder but 2016 won't recognize them unless the CD is in the drive. I can pull them into a project from either location but as soon as I remove the CD they fail to load from the HDD location as well.

Solution?

I am speaking as one without any clue, but there might be metadata in the files that trigger a disk check. Otherwise, I think that there's a particular folder structure that MM seems to abide by, so they might need to be in a specific location on your drive in order for MM to recognize them

That's what I figured would be the case. Just wish I knew where to put them so I can use them again!

Just copy them into the Soundpool folder (Public documents/Magix/Soundpools/shop on my PC) and choose add new soundpools in the loops window from the settings icon. I think you can use any folder you like.

That works for me. I've just added a soundpool from MM 2004.
