Importing from music cdrw

With Magix we have been trying to get this below  sorted.  It is ongoing and my query may time-out soon and the below may be of interest.

Reference my problem. I have what could be an interesting anomaly which I have tested twice this afternoon.

I record an LP to disc rather than via the headphone socket. I have a good DVD recorder that has given me exemplary service over many years..

Of course one has to use special discs which are easily available and coincidentally I always seem to be given the same discs: TDK CD RWXG AUDIO 80 MINS (Music Disc), they are re-useable by the way.

Magix recognised all tracks as it should.

I selected all and began importing, as ever it skipped track one, no change there! It always skips the first track.

As I have said, never a problem and I have done hundreds of transfers even before I was using Magix. It is so easy…... better than having more leads snaking all over the room.

Today I transferred another LP to a MUSIC disc as above. I am always hoping to work out where I am going wrong. I copied the Music disc to a CDR, giving me an alternate master.

I put the new CDR into my computer, opened up MAGIX MX and as usual, when I prepare to import I see the usual track list, in this case 1-15. This import went beautifully, all tracks!!!!

My assumption is that the software is not entirely happy with music discs.

I have recommended the software to many, and I am not the only one who has a CD recorder. As this edition (MX) is only just out it, maybe that very few have a CD Recorder and use the headphone system and don’t have problems. I have recommended my way to a few, it is possible that some may follow my lead and get a CD recorder. Mine is a Pioneer by the way (PDR555RW).

It would be helpful if the boffins at Magix could provide a patch, or think about it.

Further to you rlast administrator message. I have nothing to add.. I have explained it in as detailed a fashion as I can.  In short I give up.I am wasting my time and yours. I have had others help me outline the difficulty. They understand and can add no more that makes it clearer

Music discs are well known and advertised as foruse as I use them. They are for use in stand alone CD recorders, similar to those used  e.g. at the BBC studios. MAGIX does does not like them and persist in not allowing me to import the first track of any recording make using my Pioneer CD Recorder which has given me years of service, even with MAGIX except for the new MX version.

I have used every process I can imagine, to get past this anomily. I have nowhere to go. The only thing left could be to try a new disk to find out if I have been unlucky enough to receive the only faulty disk ever made by the company.

I wonder. I would return the disc, but I have tried so many times re-instally, even after forensically removing every trace from my Toshiba laptop I get nowhere

I still want the program and would welcome a replacement disc to try. Due to over use the box is now not perfect.
