Imported AVI file is slanted

Movie Edit Pro 14.....When importing an AVI file....the movie is always slanted....have tried everything i can think of to fix it...when the AVI file plays in Windows Media it looks fine....this happens often to me.  I use a file conversion tool to convert FLV files into AVI files for import but the problem isn't there because...as I said...the file plays wonderfully in Windows Media.

Hi,

Sounds very odd. If you import a single still image with an obvious straight horizon, are you saying it looks like this?

I created that by deliberately changing the zero in the box shown to 5 degrees. Has something like that happened accidentally in your case?

Otherwise I suggest you post a screenshot or two.

Thanks for any help!

Sounds like a codec issue. As a practical next step, load MEP, and try methodically disabling the following import modules before importing the file.into a fresh project:

Start with Internal AVI Import. If necessary try disabling all 3.

Failing that, use GSpot or MediaInfo to show us details of the file.

What file conversion programs have you tried on your FLV files?
