Image showing on car stereos or music players?

This has been puzzling me for some time now and whatever I do, I cannot work it out.

How is it possible to create a track and when played back in your car stereo, or on a music player can you have the image of the track you have uploaded to say OneRPM appear on your stereo?

Do you know what i mean? When you purchase a song on itunes, the song and image that has been uploaded by the artist appears on your music player, but when I do it, there is no such image even though i have uploaded an image (and its part of the track being accepted by distributors) it doesnt appear.

Am I missing a special trick??

Anyone with any ideas please??

Thanks
David

@David-Pook The informations are stored in tags inside the file. There are many free tagging softwares out there that let you edit these informations for example https://www.mp3tag.de/en/

Well i downloaded the software, fairly easy to use, and added my tags, but it doesnt work. Added the tracks I created, with a cover image and artist name etc and uploaded it to my iphone..... song works, but no indication of the tags, no cover image either.... yes I saved it in the Mp3tag program before uploading them.

Any tips??

@David-Pook Does it work on your smartphone? How big is the size of the cover in pixels?

All my songs before i used this mp3tag works on my iphone, and afterwards as well, just not the tags that work including the cover image, which was the main point of using this. the cover is 3000px by 3000px (standard size for distribution companies.

@David-Pook I would suggest to make the cover 600×600 pixels big at maximum if you want to embed it into the file.

I also found this: https://community.mp3tag.de/t/artwork-some-tags-not-showing-on-android-music-player/16580/3

Nope 600 x 600px ..... still doesnt work.

Is there a reason for this? Is there a better piece of software that will resize the image for the device its being played on?

@David-Pook

I'm not sure why it isn't working correctly. Maybe the people in the Mp3tag community can help you better.
