Seeing as how it's been years since someone tackled this, the only working solution I found is to download a free id3 editor (i used "Stamp ID3 Tag Editor") and erase the original id3 tag. Save it as a blank tag, and then it works in Magix

I have the same issue on Magix Music Maker 2013 Premium bought a week ago.

Uddberg - just curious, could you see if you can open the mp3 with your Magix 2005? Thanks.
