Hi,

See my reply at the following link:

and the tutorial:

There are several things that can block this. First, you do not want to hear the sound through the speakers because you will likely get feedback, thus you need to use headphones. You have to play with the setting in Windows and in MMM. In MMM, you are likely using an ASIO driver for your USB mic. Check the playback options; these should go to the headphones. Does your USB mic have an outlet to plug in the headphones? If so, use that. The sound goes to the computer and comes back. If you go through the computer sound card you may very well have a latency problem.

Search through the posts in the MM forum, both questions and discussions, as this question has been treated several times. One post says to not use a USB mic and another says to use one. You should be able to get it working, as you will need to hear the music while you record.

I use an M-Audio M-Track mixer which plugs into the USB port. I use a condensor mic plugged into the mixer. The mixer has its own sound card. I can monitor directly from the mic, and also from the USB, separately or together. I can also plug a guitar into the second port on the mixer and record both mic and guitar on separate channels of one track at the same time. No latency.

Good luck,
