First of all, you aren't clear about what you're trying to do here.  Are you trying to record the voices from the S08, or are you trying to use the S08 as a MIDI controller to play VST instruments on the computer?

Using the USB cable implies that you want to use the S08 as a MIDI controller.  First you need to set the S08 (not the microphone) as the "Recording Input Device" in either Windows Control Panel or in the MMM Program Settings ('Y' key - Audio/MIDI tab).

If you still have the S08 audio outputs connected to an activated amp/speaker system, you should set the keyboard to "Local/OFF" to turn off the internal voices. (see page 15 of the S08 Owner's Manual.)

If your intent is to record the internal voices from the S08, you should leave the Local set to ON on the keyboard and connect the audio outputs to the Line IN (blue jack) on your sound card or to the inputs of an audio interface.

VST instruments are "virtual" software instruments.  The one supplied with MMM is called Revolta 2.  There are also plenty of other VSTi's that can be purchased or downloaded for free and installed in MMM.

So, you have a laptop computer and you want to record the internal voices from your S08.

Since you don't have a sound card as you would with a desktop computer, you will need a USB Audio Interface.  Nearly any one should work fine.  I assume Pro Tools came with a hardware USB Audio Interface.

You don't need a different computer.  You simply need to learn how to use the one you have along with MMM.  If you're not willing to put in the effort yourself, you need to find someone to help you who knows about computer sound recording and editing.  You could place an ad on your local Craigslist in the musicians section.  There's only so much we can do for you online.
