Sorry I don't have experience with Movies on DVD but suspect your problem is more to due with Vista than Magix. Does Vista give you the option of installing programs as an 'Administrator'? Most users install 'for all users' rather than just the account doing the installation.

Hope this helps some, perhaps someone else will have better ideas.
