When i try to register my soundforge 15 after my update it won't allow me to do it. I've been a registered user for years. Same computer same setup. Now i can't use it because it won't allow me to register it. Message says check my network everything is fine. I tried registering from the download and the site. I even redownloaded the program and it woun't allow me to re-install it

@Steven-Lewis Try the following things:

- Run Sound Forge as administrator by right clicking on the program icon

- temporarily disable your firewall or Windows Defender

- on Windows 11 temporarily disable Smart App Control

Thank you SP. Ive tried all of the above but still get the same issue. When i try to register on the site it says the number is already registered. I've had this registration for about 5 yrs or more. I'm working with windows 10

@Steven-Lewis You cannot register the serial number multiple times. It's already registered to your account. You also cannot create an activation code online, if this is what you tried to do. This only works for old Magix programs that use the old P2 serial number. Doesn't work with P3 serial numbers.

This is a only an idea and I don't know if this makes a difference, but you might try to create a mobile hotspot with your phone, connect your computer to it and try to register it that way. You should also be able to connect your phone via USB to the computer and enable mobile data and USB tethering. Be aware, this can cost money and may not be allowed by your service provider.

If reinstalling is blocked, there is definitely something wrong with your computer settings. Are you getting a specific error message if you try to reinstall the software?

Hi @Steven-Lewis.

  • Are you stating the download and update installation was successful, but your Sound Forge 15 cannot be re-activated?
  • Did you use the same activation serial code and email address as before?
  • Can you log into the Magix Service Center and is Sound Forge 15 listed in 'My Products'? .. if not, you may not be using the log-in info from when you initially registered SF-15. Your Service Center>My Products' log-in and the login info your use for this forum may be different. In any case, the email address you initially used with your activation serial code are paired and must be used together when re-activating SF.

If you can access SF-15 in your 'Service Center>My Products list, deactivate SF for the PC.
> Select SF-15 from your product list and click "Show more details".
> Click "Deactivate" for the pertinent PC
> Relaunch SF and try re-activating.

If you cannot see SF-15 in your 'My Products', email Magix Customer Service:
