I recently switched from mini-dv recorder to a HDD device. This downloads files in m2ts format, which my current MEP14 will not import. Will Video Pro x1 import these file formats?

VPX 1 is old - it is now up to verson 4.

I would recommend you upgrade to MEP MX or VP 4 if you want to work with m2ts files as these are 'tuned' for working with HD. Note the interface is very different from MEP14.
