Hi.

I have used all the versions of VPX, including 3, and not seen this problem before!  I realise that is no help to you but does, I hope, suggest the problem is not inherent in the software.

Are you running the boxed version of VPX3 or the download?  Do you have the option (in Windows) to "Repair" the installation?  If not, I think your only option may be to do a complete uninstall (using a utility like the (free) Revo Uninstaller or MAGIX' own dedicated clean-up), not just the Windows Uninstaller since that is not guaranteed to remove everything, and then do a clean reinstall.

For different reasons I've had to do that in the past with VPX3 and it does seem to remove all the problems.

Before you try Jeff's suggestion:

Close VPX then use Windows Explorer to search for Video_Pro_X.ini, include hidden an system folders as the file may be hidden. 

You may find several files - the one you want will be the largest in file size.

Rename the file to something else eg  Video_Pro_X.old

Restart VPX it will recreate the ini file again and hopefully fix the problem. 

If it does not work then follow Jeff's suggestion

Apologies for butting in on this one Jeff,  this method works with many MEP problems.

Absolutely no problem, John.  That particular "route" is not one I've ever tried!  I may well experiment with it the next time VPX or MEP "throw a wobbly".
