Hi,

no soft- or hardware in the world can handle this usecase. Soft- or hardware can´t defeat the physic. It´s possible that you´re able to make the voice a bit quieter but in the same time you´re destroying the sound of the hole track and it sounds terrible.

Sorry for my bad english. I hope you understand, what I mean.

Just as Martin said...

You cannot strip out the vocals, because all sound shares the same frequencies... so in essence, this would be like trying to make an Orange out of Orange Juice.

Karaoke tracks are either the original recordings (which was recorded with each instrument on a separate track) where they then mute out the track, or it is a cover band, minus the vocalist.

So can I upload a karaoke track, put my own vocals on it then save it? Thanks for the responses guys, much appreciated

Yes, that will work. But only to name it: Please don´t publish it without having the rights to do so. Not even on Youtube etc. That will save you a lot of money and trouble, but nobody cares about if you do it for your own fun in your flat or a private party.
