I would like to use my Version 12 deluxe with Windows 7.Is there a patch or work around I could use to do this.

this week, here was the same question and I gave the tip to try it with the XP-compatible-mode under Win7 and it worked. Just give it a try.

Your version isn´t really "up to date" related to software, so it´s not surprising, if it won´t work under Win7, but nevertheless try like I said above.
