I cannot enable the text to speech on my software i downloaded a few minutes ago... what am i doing incorrectly, it looks just what i need and is the reason i upgraded my version
Just to add a little to what @browj2 has written: if you do have the Subscription version, the new Text to Speech feature is accessed via the MAGIX Hub tab.
I upgraded from Studio 2023 for the exact same reason. I feel like I have been ripped off. It said on the advert that the subscription was available with Suite version. Some sort of con trick.
johnbaker- I just got an e-mail offering the upgrade, when I looked at the site it showed the text to speech and Platinum and Suite blocks underneath. The 365 thing seems to follow a separate route through the adverts that I don't see, and the subscription mentioned I assumed came with the upgrade. There is not much else that warranted an upgrade. It might now do what version 2023 was supposed to do, but I still rekon it is poor value if this is the tricks they pull.
The Text to Speech is available in both the Platinum 365 and Suite 365 subscriptions.
Did you receive a new serial number for MMS 2024 and download/install the extra content and features?

I have the same problem. I have Movie Studio 2024 Suite, and I have installed all contents etc, and updated, and still cant activate nor use the text-to-speech, is it available in my product ? This was the main reason I have upgraded!
You can have Movie Studio 2024 Suite perpetual - not a subscription and obviously no Text-to-Speech, or Movie Studio 2024 Suite 365 which is a 1 year subscription that gives you Text-to-Speech.
If you need to literally make screenshots and underscore the small print that explains this, this is exactly what the problem is, it is not properly presented.
I have been using "internet" buying downloadable and hard copies software for last 30 years, this is probably only time I bought a software for a feature, which then required me to buy another subscription, because it was not properly presented. And from your tone I see you are losing patience, that means there is more people like me and Paul Doyle - solution: fix the website so it is more obvious.
Quite frankly, if we are at it, the whole nomenclature of software packages of Magix, is very confusing. You have Video editor, Editor pro, Vegas, and then you have different types (i.e. Suite, Ultimate, Platinum), and each year Magix sells versions for current (2023), and next year 2024. So yes, it is easy to misunderstand which software does what and what are the features - not to mention that then Magix sells different subscriptions, for upgrade, new and perpetual ?
Now coming back to the original question. I need text to speech feature how can i cancel my purchase and purchase the one with text to speech?
Absolutely agree with @Paul-Doyle - post. There is almost (only few templates) value added without text to speech. And without text to speech I'd not upgrade at all.
You can have Movie Studio 2024 Suite perpetual - not a subscription and obviously no Text-to-Speech, or Movie Studio 2024 Suite 365 which is a 1 year subscription that gives you Text-to-Speech.
Hi and welcome to the user to user forums. As such there are only users of the program here and no Magix staff.
Yes, some people do get tired of replying to posts that ask the same question that has risen at least 12 times in one month and I have no idea why they reply at all to get abuse when they try to explain the information is on the web pages but a percentage of people seem to not see it or realise the consequences of ordering the wrong version.
Please be patient with the replies. We are not in charge and have no power to change anything. Things printed with images and text often lose context compared to a spoken word and can appear different to anyone from a different culture. You have to remember people on the forums could be replying from any part of the world and some cultures are more direct in their exchanges than others.
Magix are normally very good at allowing an exchange of program. I have done it myself. Just go to your Magix account where you registered your product and use the contact Magix support section there with the details of your purchase and what you wish to do.
In my case they got back fairly quickly and said if I unregistered the program on my machine using my Magix account and paid the difference they would send me a different activation code and installing instructions which they promptly did. I think the whole exchange took a day. (not at a weekend) That may take a bit longer than my experience depending on staffing issues and the time of year etc.
The tiers of products to me at least seem pretty easy to work out if only by the steady increase in prices charged.
They have always had more than a few tiers of products.
What is not so easy to understand is the differences in workflow between the various products. Magix Movie Studio and Video Pro X have similar work layouts and procedures but move up to the Vegas line of products and it is very different. There are many pages of support for each product with many videos and support articles. If anything there is probably too much and a lot of it gets buried away. The website could be better laid out.
My intention was not abuse anyone, and I appreciate your replies. I only described my feelings, and if there is many users asking the same question, I still believe there is a problem with the initial presentation ("better laid out"). I will reach out to them, thank you.
I can understand the frustration and some sites can be very difficult to navigate. Personally I give it a 7 out of 10 for difficulty. If you have ever tried to change internet provider or stop a monthly payment to an online subscription service you will know what I mean 😅.
Each program offered has it's own set of information pages including specs required to run as well as the codecs etc that are supported along with other relevant information. You do have to be careful about minimum requirements stated though and take them as being all listed items needed rather than this item or that item, or the experience of using the program will be less than ideal. So inboard GPU with a processor that also has an inboard GPU for instance. Some of the third party GPUs they suggest are not always readily available in a lot of countries or at a reasonable cost.
Magix are not alone in this. Adobe, Avid, and Green valley are just as bad. Every upgrade depends more on the ability of newer hardware than program coding to get the best results. Often older hardware, unless the system was top spec to begin with, in my opinion and experience, will always behave slightly worse than the previous version due to the ever increase in demands of the computers components and the newer programs compiling to interact with the latest processors and GPUs.
This is why personally I am still using Movie Edit Pro 2022 and Video Pro X 14. While the programs still run reasonably well on my system the export times are getting longer with each release. Not because the program is bad but my hardware is that much older. A new processor or GPU now will have hundreds or thousand or millions more transistors then one of three generations ago. That is how mad the world of computing has got over the last few years and the subsequent price rises of components.
I think we must get about 12 to 15 of these enquiries per month. If you scroll down the topics for two pages you will probably come across at least one.
I hope you soon find a resolve with Magix. They are in my experience normally quite reasonable with these types of requests even if on some occasions they may take a while to get back to you. I'm assuming because we are in between Christmas and New Year, they may have more then a usual amount of emails to sort through.
Just go to your Magix account where you registered your product and use the contact Magix support section there with the details of your purchase and what you wish to do.
is to email infoservice@magix.net to explain what you would like to do. Include ALL the details of your original purchase and request that they refund you for the purchase of whichever version of MMS you have and then you purchase the Subscription edition.
As @CubeAce (Ray) says, Magix are generally pretty accommodating with requests like this!
Ich habe soeben Magix Video Deluxe 2024 Premium gekauft und installiert, kann aber das Text to Speech Tool nicht nutzen, weil ich nicht downloaden kann. Was muss ich tun?

However, it is about gaining access to the Speech to Text facility in MMS 2025, when this thread is asking about accessing and using the Text to Speech service.
As such, it is not really relevant to this thread and so I have hidden it.
However, I think your video should be available to other users and I would like to suggest you post it to the Tutorials section of the website where, once it is approved, it can be accessed by any other user.
Maybe this will be of some use to the forum members.
It is possible that Text to Speech is not working properly. Usually this can be solved by deleting the "EBWebView" folder and then restarting the program. See: How to fix Text-to-Speech Issues (magix.info)
