originally, I installed pgm in 2014 (windows 7). Upgraded to windows 10. tried to use, no monitor for recording. Troubleshooter said pgm was corrupted and unreadable. Downloaded pgm yesterday, and now i get as far as license agreement on install, but page is blank and will not finish install. any Ideas?

Hi

. . . . . i get as far as license agreement on install, but page is blank and will not finish install . . . .

A program, not compatible with Windows 10, failing immediately after the upgrade is a common issue.

Did you uninstall the old program and clean up all files left behind, before downloading again and re-installing?

Try using this procedure for re-installing, do not miss out the Windows 10 system checks.

I would advise upgrading to the latest version - Sound Forge Audio Cleaning Lab 3. Even if you get the old program running the likelihood is a Windows 10 update could knock the program out again, possibly permanently.

Hi I was afraid that it was a compatability issue, just thought It would be worth a shot to ask. No way Im going to get rid of all my old files just for that. I installed a Sound Forge pgm that came with my usb turntable (Sony). Is that now part of Magix? Just curious. Anyway, thanks for replying. MJF

Hi

The Sound Forge program that came with the turntable is a cut down version (LE = limited edition) of the old Sony program which was acquired by Magix a few years ago along with a range of SCS products.

Any audio editing program should be able to record from the turntable as all analog to digital conversion is done in the turntable - it will appear as an input device.

The full new version of Audio Cleaning Lab is here - other Magix audio such as Music Maker should also be to record from the turntable. Downoad the trial version(s) and test.
