I can't find my Acid Planet music profile

GalaxxiG wrote on 10/2/2020, 3:37 PM

I've been busy with life and felt like downloading all of my old songs for nostalgia purposes and maybe share to more people. It's been a while since I've been on and I just discovered that Acid Planet no longer exist. Is there a way to get my music back that I created? Or is it a lost cause. Here is the link of what use to be.

Everything was deleted if I remember correctly. This also happened already some years ago in 2018.

Some songs were saved here: https://archive.org/details/acidplanet

Just look up your song titles and maybe you are lucky enough that some of them were saved: https://web.archive.org/web/20180518225234/http://www.acidplanet.com/artist.asp?songs=645829

I've found 4 songs: https://archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A"Galaxxi+Gothice" I don't know if there are more from you.

@martin-m6842

Welcome to the Magix user to user forums.

I have edited your post to remove the email address since such personal data should never be posted to a public forum like this one.

Have you read the earlier post to this thread and checked the links provided? Unfortunately, if you can find nothing there it seems that these compositions may have been permanently lost, sorry!

Acid Planeteer since '99 (under the moniker: grubmonkey), I was also HUGELY disheartened to hear of the website's demise. my music was furthest from the best, but the reviews (for my babies) were absolutely priceless, and for a company to just wipe it all clean was absolutely heartless! it was the best community on the web. good music, great friends, solid (good and bad) review platform, all gone! 19 year's worth of work, constructive criticism, and good friends vanished! to say it pains me as if I lost a dear friend to cancer, would be an understatement. I'm still freaked out about the situation. thanks, Magix, for killing off a good thing. *snark*

@grubmonkey

Hi

Did you not receive the emails back in 2018 that Sony were shutting down Acid Planet and to retrieve your uploads?

See this topic here, you may get lucky with the archive that was saved.
