How old is your version of this program?

Older versions would be using the older internet protocols and may not be able to contact the servers. This is baked/set into the program and cannot be changed by the user.

Can you clarify what you mean - ie are you looking for the latest update (patch) for the version of Rescue your Video Tapes you have or looking to upgrade to the latest version from an older one?

Very true, however, the older protocols are part of Windows and by default Windows 10 disables them.

If Ronald's is wanting to upgrade then enabling the old protocols will not help as the new version uses the newer protocols.

Thank you for the reply. I currently have version 4 of Rescue your videotapes which is valid up to Windows 7. I bought it ages ago but had never installed it, as for other reasons I was not ready to use it. Now however I do want to use the program but I am on Windows 10 and don't have a computer with the systems requirements for Windows 7 or lower. But I can't find the full Windows 10 update on the Magix website and the program itself in the update link does not find it either. Hence my request for someone to send me the link, Regards Ron

As @johnebaker wrote, what you are looking for is an upgrade (to the latest version) not an update (to the latest patch for the version you have).

Hence, you will need to buy the latest version, sorry! You could email infoservice@magix.net to ask whether you might be able to buy at some sort of discount, but the purchase price is already pretty low so that may not be possible.
