What are the "dots" you are referring to @jim-atkinson? If you mean the sample (rate) points, the 'Zoom-in time' must be zoomed in significantly for them to be visible. If your cannot click on a precise point (dot), you probably have 'Snap to Zero crossing' enabled in the "Options> Snapping" menu. There, you can disable all snapping or just 'Grid. Markers, Event edge and Zero crossing, Also, the 'Pencil edit tool' is only available when the zoom-in time is 1:32 or greater.
sorry i didn't know the proper terminology. yes, i turned off zero crossing and it fixed it. can't even imagine how that get changed. Glad it worked. I also got a subscription to SF17 but it has problems with double clicking. very hard to work on files. thank you a million. jim a.
SF17 has problems with double clicking. very hard to work on files
The double-click issue started with SF-16. You need to double-click really fast to highlight a selection. The PC's global click speed settings have no affect. Hopefully the numerous bugs in SF 16>17 will be addressed, but don't hold yo' breath.
