I can no longer record audio from my computer

I can no longer record audio from my computer. Is this a problem I have with my settings or is it due to a change in Microsoft windows 10 when used with Sound Forge 15 OR is it a limitation in Sound Forge 15. I was able to record from my computer in earlier versions of Sound Forge and Windows.

Hi @James-Keenan, it is not a limitation of Sound Forge . Check your Windows (record) sound settings. Also check the Win 10 'Privacy' settings for the microphone, which can cause a no audio input situation. Recheck the 'audio device type' settings in SF as well (Options> Preferences> Audio).

Assuming you wish to 'record what you hear', some PCs need a third-party app. All of my Dell desktops and laptops could throughput the speaker/headphone output to 'record what you hear' , but I had two Toshiba Satellites that could not w/o a third-party utility like VB-CABLE.
