I can hear myself in the back round?

I can hear myself in the backround while my microphone is plugged in on Music Maker 2015 on a dell xps 13 laptop with windows 10. how do i fix this?

Hi Scott,

Did you get your problems with W10 sorted out?

If you didn't already watch it, look at this tutorial on getting started in MMM.

Are you trying to record? What is your setup in MMM when you hear yourself through the mic? What are you trying to do?

When you record, you have to monitor through earphones or you risk getting feedback.

Does the laptop have an internal microphone?

If so try disabling it.

Yes I am trying to record and I'm using headphones as well and can still hear myself in the backround. I also disables my laptops internal mic and it didn't fix the problem. here are my settings
