I can find where I downloaded the 2014 package which is on my C drive but it has the internet explorer symbol next to the 2014 package that I downloaded and when I click on it my computer just keeps flashing like it wants to open the file but cant. I have no idea what is going on, I have been using this program for years and have no idea why the files will not go to my sound pools, and yes I do have the check this box to apply media after download. I might need another code or something to reset this so I can use what I have purchased. Please help, I like using this program but if I cant figure this out Im never buying anything again from this company.

Hi,

From your message I can't tell what you have done. You say that you downloaded the 2014 package but that you've been using this program for years. Illogical. Did you get MMM installed and you are trying to install the add-ons? Are you just trying to install soundpools? I say this because you mention soundpools. If you want help, describe properly what you have done and exactly where it blocks. Screen shots would help.

See the link below for info about what to do once you have MMM installed.

There are other recent posts under MMM Q&A and Discussions about where to locate the soundpools and other files. Do some research.

Ok, browj2. I bought MMM back in 2011 and installed it on my desktop, we'll my desktop went to shit so I bought a ASUS laptop with no disc drive 2 years ago. I received the codes from MMM to install the 2011 edition because I have no disc drive, everything went great and I was using the program all the time. Ok, then my computer prompted me to update windows 8 to 8.1 and after that MMM wouldn't work so I got the codes again and reinstalled MMM but this time my computer couldn't find VST plugins but I was able to still make songs, and revisit the ones I had already made. Not sure how to fix VST plugins. So, I didn't touch MMM for a while because of school and was annoyed with the program. I then bought 2014 on catooh a few months ago because I wanted new sound pools, forgetting about the VST thing and went to install it with the box checked and all that stuff from the last paragraph. Not sure how to fix this.

It's raining outside here, and cold.

Did you get MMM2014 to work? Did you buy the Premium version or regular? I presume that you bought it on the Magix site because AFAIK, it is not sold on the CATOOH site. So what exactly did you buy, MMM2014 or some soundpools?

VST plugins are probably installed in the following folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\MAGIX

Soundpools, synth instruments and links to manuals are installed in:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX

Under this, I install all Soundpools under:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\Soundpools

using the folder names that came with the soundpools, such as "+1.000 Sounds" and "Best of Soundpool Collection Vol. 1" etc. That way when you link the search for soundpools in SMS to the folder, it finds them all, including any new ones.

There is also the MxSyth folder:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\MAGIX\Common\MxSynth

See below to indicate the path to the VST plugins, under File, Settings, Program settings, (or press on P) Folders tab:
