I bought a download version of Magix movie edit pro mx-help! hasn't worked right since beginning!

So frustated! Bought this program at the suggestion of a friend. Saw it work on his computer, although it was slow it worked. He was teaching me how to use the program and was amazed at the problems I am having! Much more problems then he has. Now I am in the middle of a 4 hour edit and I can only get audio. No video shows on timeline and no video in video box. I pulled up previous videos and I can't get video on them either.

I can't get registered for tech support because I only have the order number!

Can anyone help? No one from the company seems to give a darn!

A referral to a video editing product that will work and is reasonably priced would also be appreciated.

Howdy,

I had a similar problem. 1st. Log into your Magix account. The password/serial number would be sitting there, just copy and paste.

With the other problem, I had that issue for ages and the cause was usually my own. The trick is to

1. keep your Magix files in the 'my doc' ' that it is installed in.

2. Make sure that the right sound card is installed.

3. Lower the "Movie display" to Half or Quater (I use Quater).

4. On your monitor (software ,monitor in Magix) - put it down to the lowest ratio.

One of the problems i have found with most video editing programs on PC's is when I view everything in hi ratio, (expecially with a notebook). it really chews up how the video card works.

5. When you have installed the program, update.

I hope this helped.

Cheers

Akash

Hi

Please read this post - you have not given enough information even to start guessing what the problem is.  Comeback with the info and we can then help you sort out the problems.
