Usually a disaster, but .. it depends. If your just wish to master the audio, you can do that in SF and replace (mux in) the audio w/o re-rendering the picture. Of course if you cut or add audio to the timelime, sync will be all focked up.

Sound Forge is an audio editor. When you edit the audio, the picture is not edited along with it. Use Vegas or another video editing app. SF can be integrated with Vegas Pro for surgical or other work on an audio event or file.
