How to turn off snapping/grid

I was a user of version 17 and other before that, now in movie edit pro 2015, it seems I cannot freely move audio or video objects around, they always snap to wherver the program feels it's appropriate.

I am currently trying to move an audio file to match audio from an imported video, but of course I cannot sync them if it is snapping to the wrong place.

I have looked in the help file and through program options. How do I turn off snapping?

Hi

Shift+U should toggle / deselect it, or clicking on the magnet symbol above the timeline.
