No problem as long as all your clips, photos etc get copied across as well. There is a backup option that does it all for you:

Simply bring the folder across to you laptop and run your project there.

A slightly more involved alternative is available if all the items used in your project are already on your laptop. In that case you need only bring over a copy of the project (.MVP) file. When you try and open it MEP may complain that it can't find things so you have to direct it to whatever folders they are in.
