How to speed up Rendering?

I just got myself a brand new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Laptop with UHD screen

So, here is the laptop rough specs

Intel i7 7th gens

16GB DDR4 Ram

GTX1060 6GB DDR5

So I did a short 15 sec video on Vegas Pro 15 with basic colour correction etc, the rendering time took me 2 mins

while my old crap laptop, lenovo Z370 that has only i3, 2GB RAM with no GPU took 3 mins to render for the same length and amount of FX on the video.

Probably I havent tweak the laptop performance, any body know how to speed up the rendering?

oh ya, I rendered out the video in FHD,24FPS at Best quality using Magix/MP4 render

In addition to John's suggestion, perhaps it would be better to post to the dedicated Vegas Pro forum here?
