No idea why you've got a problem. I've still got a copy of MEP14+ installed and the screen capture works OK with a rather un-powerful NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT. The only suggestion is to go to Program Settings, [Y] key shortcut, and see if any of the video mode settings have an effect. They do sometime alter regular screen capture though that is from the MEP preview screen.
Thanks for your time Carl. Its not a hardware issue as this happened when i installed the software on my lapltop as well. I ended up buying Movies on DVD for the screen capture feature and it did work fine. Another system crash led me to buy another computer but... i didnt have all of my installation files. so? anyway thanks again for your time!! larry
I had a similar problem with Screen Capturing video driver "device not currently supported" failure in both MEP16 and 18(MX) after previous successful screen captures. I solved the problem by using Repair Program in Windows Control Panel. Kris
