Hi

. . . . heavly modified one of the captions. Neutral 02. I would like to save this for reuse. Hopefully to appear in the captions menu. . . . .

AFAICS there is no way to do this with captions.

However you could save the modified caption in its own project and import this into another project whenever you need to use it.

Thanks

That's what I have been doing, it's just I will be getting a collection of custom captions and that menu is pretty empty. Oh, well. Thanks again.

Hi

You can save it as a take but for some reason when you drag it from Takes back into the timeline it may need a little adjustment because the text track part of the sequence get overlayed/mixed with the track above. Just ungroup the sequence and left click drag on the second track and it will separate the text onto the 3rd track. You may have to adjust the length of the second track and the posn. of the third track along the timeline to get things fading an appearing as in the original. Pretty quick and simple though.
