Hi

It is not necessary to remove the blank end.  When MEP exports or you burn a disc the video etc up to the end of last object will be used - the blank space is ignored, unless you have set a range and checked the export range option in the export dialog.

If when you export or burn a disc the video does continue for the blank period then it is likely that there is a stray object at the end of the blank period - you may not see this if it is only one or two frames wide.

To see if there is a stray object position the timeline cursor at the end of the blank section and zoom in, check all tracks on the timeline, and delete it if there is one or more.

Thanks johnebaker. I was able to delete the 20+ secs of blank material at the end of the movie
